Tom Olk

Tom Olk is the Chief Executive Officer of DISC Village, a private, non-profit organization that provides a wide variety of treatment and rehabilitative services to more than 10,000 individuals and families throughout North Florida each year. The agency has been in existence for 30 years and employs a multi-disciplinary staff of over 400 people. Tom has over thirty years experience in the development and implementation of alcohol, drug abuse and mental health programs including interagency collaboration and coalition building; accreditation, grant writing, quality assurance, innovative approaches and best practices.

In addition Tom has twenty years work in all phases of facility development and construction, specializing in site selection, permitting, facility design, project management and quality control.

Tom received a B.S. degrees in Social Work and Criminology from Florida State University and is a member of the Governor’s Task Force on Treatment, is the Founding President of the Florida Juvenile Justice Association and the Certification Board for Addition Professionals of Florida, Board Member & Past President of the Florida Alcohol & Drug Abuse Association, the Founding Chairman of the FAADA Children’s Committee, Past Chairman of the Gadsden County Drug Abuse Task Force, a former Board member of the Florida Council on Community Mental Health, a Board member of United Partners for Human Services and a member of the Governor’s Task Force on Treatment, the Tallahassee Community Task Force on Drugs and Crime and Therapeutic Communities of America
