Peggy Conklin
Peggy Conklin currently serves as the President/CEO of the Tallahassee YMCA and has been
in this position since September 2004. Peggy brings 32 years of YMCA experience from four different
YMCA locations to her position. Before coming to Tallahassee, she led the Waterloo, Iowa YMCA as its
Executive Director.
Peggy is a member of the Executive Committee for the Florida State Alliance of YMCAs, a member of NAYDO -
North American YMCA Development Organization, and a board member of UPHS.
Peggy Conklin is committed to making a difference in the lives of children and families in the capital region.
During her three years as President/CEO, YMCA membership has doubled, inherited debt has been reduced,
programs have been created and expanded, new community collaborations have been established, one new facility
opened and one facility has relocated into a refurbished location. Peggy has expanded the YMCA financial
assistance program, adhering to the YMCA policy to allow everyone access to programs and membership, regardless
of ability to pay.
Peggy and her husband, John, have three children - Keri, Eric and Brian. They enjoy boating, camping, cycling
and other outdoor activities.
