Kimberly Moore
Kimberly is known for her contributions within the workforce field. She currently
serves as Chief Executive Officer of Workforce Plus, becoming the youngest person, the first black
person and the first woman to hold the top position. In the position of Chief Executive Officer,
she is responsible for a $6 million budget, a staff of seven and 80 to 90 workers that are under
contract. Other work experience includes serving as Chief Operation Officer and Contract & Compliance
Officer for Workforce Plus, Supervisor/Center Manager for Lockheed Martin, Senior Workforce Development
Specialist at Tallahassee Community College and Child Support Enforcement Analyst/Revenue Specialist
for the Florida Department of Revenue.
Ms. Moore is a 1993 graduate of Tallahassee Community College with an Associate of Arts degree.
She continued her education at Florida State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in
Criminal Justice in 1995 and Webster University earning a Master's degree in Business
Administration in 2006.
Understanding the value of being informed and involved, Ms. Moore is actively involved in many
professional organizations. She is a member of the Florida Workforce Development Association,
the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals, the National Association of
Workforce Boards, and the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence Steering Committee.
Additionally, she holds memberships in many community organizations which include serving as a
board member of the Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend Region, Gadsden County Transportation
Disadvantaged Coordinating Transportation Council, Gadsden County Enterprise Zone Council, Leon
County Economic Development Council, Leon County Enterprise Development Zone Agency, Leon County
Human Services Grant Committee, Chairman, Lively Student Advisory Council, Wakulla County
Transportation Disadvantaged Transportation Council, Wakulla Chamber of Commerce, United Partners
for Human Services and United Way of the Big Bend.
Because of her many contributions to society, especially in the area of workforce, she has received
numerous awards including the Florida Certified Workforce Developmental Professional Award, the
National Certified Workforce Development Professional Award and the National Dean's List at Webster
University. She has also received the Employee of the Month Award and Teamwork Award from Workforce
Development. Ms. Moore received the Florida Certified Workforce Development Professional Certification,
and the National Workforce Development Professional Certification. From the Department of Revenue,
she received the Regional Case Manager Award, Silver Pickle Award, Super Award, Thanks a Million Award,
Bravo Award, Special Recognition Award, and nominated for the Department's Sapphire Award.
Ms. Moore has contributed significantly to society and believes that an effective leader should "model
the behavior that you would like to see, make sure everybody counts and everybody knows they count,
know your objectives and have a plan on how to achieve them, embrace change, as change is inevitable,
and follow through on commitments." She also never leaves without a legal pad because she states, "I'm
always taking notes."
