Jackie Malone, M.M.

Jackie has served as the executive director of Brehon Institute for Family Services, Inc. since 2000. Prior to her arrival in Tallahassee, Jackie had over 25 years of leadership experience directing community programs, providing leadership training, working with diverse communities, collaborations and partnerships including: Community Facilitator for DCF District 2a; Community Development Director for Jackson County Development Council; adjunct college professor; music minister; and business owner. Jackie served two terms as President of the Graceville Area Chamber of Commerce. Jackie was a founding board member of The Friends of the Graceville Branch Library and a charter board member of Hope for Life, Inc., an organization that assists survivors of domestic violence in NW Florida.

Jackie graduated with honors from Carson-Newman College and holds a master of music degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Currently Jackie is a member of the March of Dimes Big Bend Division Board and the United Partners for Human Services Board. She has also been selected as a participant in Leadership Tallahassee Class 25.

Brehon operates Brehon House, a maternity home for adult homeless, pregnant women and their infants. Brehon also offers Healthy Families Gadsden/Leon, an intensive home visiting service. In addition, Brehon serves high-risk families in Madison and Taylor counties with in-home parent education programs.

Jackie has been married for 31 years to Patrick, a college administrator and professor. They have two married daughters and two granddaughters.
