David Overstreet

David is the Executive Director for Children's Home Society's North Central Division in Tallahassee, Florida and has served in this role since June 2, 2005.

Prior to joining CHS, David spent 2 years just outside of Washington, D.C. as the Child Welfare Communications Manager for the National Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and Neglect and the National Adoption Information Clearinghouse.

David's previous work includes over 10 years in the State of Florida in the areas of Substance Abuse and Mental Health program development, the privatization of the State's foster care and related services, and as a counselor for a Juvenile Justice program in Kissimmee Florida.

David holds a BS Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Central Florida.
