Connie Moore
Connie is the Chief Executive Officer of the Pregnancy Help and Information Center
(PHI) in Tallahassee. Connie has managed this pregnancy resource center since 1997, and she has been
a major part of its phenomenal 400% growth in annual budget and its doubling of the number of clients
served.
While under her management, the PHI Center has become the highest volume crisis pregnancy
center in Tallahassee and the surrounding multi-county area. Connie has managed every aspect of the
faith-based, community-centered, non-profit center: client services, which include parenting and
childbirth education, pregnancy testing, counseling, and providing referrals; fundraising; public-speaking;
administration; and, community development. At the same time, Connie developed an entirely new program,
the PureSTRENGTH Abstinence Education Program, an innovative, interactive program that focuses on reducing
pre-marital sexual activity, sexually transmitted diseases, and pregnancies among teenagers.
Throughout her tenure at the PHI Center, Connie has implemented the program by presenting abstinence
education and training to over 15,000 high school and middle school students in public and private
schools. She has also tailored her presentations to audiences of college students, parents, teachers,
health professionals, and social workers.
Prior to her employment the PHI Center, Connie worked at home as both mother and home-school teacher
of her sons for fifteen years. This followed her first career as a real estate broker and salesperson,
including two years of owning and operating her own real estate office.
Connie's diverse abilities are illustrated by her other professional credentials; she is an American
Sign Language Interpreter, an FCIC/NCIC Telecommunicator, a Boating Safety Instructor, and a Licensed
Health and Life Insurance Agent for the state of Florida.
Connie's special skills for success include: her strong background in marketing, public relations,
and fundraising; her extensive client service background; and many years of public speaking and
presentations, especially related to abstinence.
