Chuck Ezell

On July 21, 2003 Charles (Chuck) Ezell was selected as the new Scout Executive/Executive Director of the Suwannee River Area Council. Chuck comes to Tallahassee from Richmond, VA were he served as the number two in command and CEO of the Council.

As a youth Chuck was a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Explorer, and a sports fanatic. Chuck is a 27 year veteran of the professional service of the BSA. He is no stranger to Florida, serving in the North Florida Boy Scout Council in Jacksonville for 12 Years.

Chuck has an outstanding program background, serving as Summer Camp Director, Staff on four National Boy Scout Jamborees, Philmont training center staff, and is a Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow. His Indian name is "High Chieftain of Rocky Top".

Since Chuck's arrive in Tallahassee, the Boy Scouts have opened a beautiful new Scout Service Center on Thomasville Rd, A new State of the Art High/Low Cope Course, and added Air Conditioning to the Dining Hall. The Council has earned the Award of Excellence from the Boy Scouts of America in 2005.

Chuck and his wife Gwen, who is a Registered Nurse, have been married for 26 years and they have a beautiful daughter Mollie who is a Sophomore at Florida State University. Chuck is a 1979 graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity.

Chuck Enjoys Golf, Scuba Diving, and College Football.
